Camp Birch

440 acres of woodland, water, and wonder.

Tecumseh Council's outdoor home since 1936 — and the backyard of every Springfield Scout.

Our outdoor home

A place where lessons stick because they're lived.

Camp Birch began in 1936 with a 25-acre donation from Mr. Hugh Taylor Birch. Today it spans more than 440 acres adjacent to Clifton Gorge, John Bryan State Park, and Glen Helen Nature Preserve — one of southwest Ohio's most beautiful Scouting destinations.

Beyond our Cub Scout Pack and Scouts BSA Troop, Camp Birch hosts churches, schools, youth groups, the National Guard, and college organizations. On any given weekend, 10–15 different groups are camping or running activities here.
