Tecumseh Council runs a full slate of summer programs at Camp Hugh Taylor Birch. Registration opens early each spring — sign up before the early-bird deadline to save.

Camp Scholarships

Every Scout should get to camp.

Tecumseh Council offers camp scholarships of up to one-third the cost of camp to any registered Scout, regardless of family resources. Awards are based on need and must be redeemed by the regular registration deadline.

Applications are due April 15, 2026. Talk to your Unit Leader to apply, or email Noel.Wright@Scouting.org at the Council Service Center.

Quick FAQ

Can Cub Scouts attend summer camp?
Yes — Cubs entering 1st–5th grade can attend Day Camp and Overnight Camp. 1st-grade Scouts must be accompanied by a parent or guardian per Scouting America's Guide to Safe Scouting.
Are parents allowed at summer camp?
Absolutely. Adult registration for Day Camp is free, and Camp Birch offers $50 in Birch Bucks for each registered required adult attending Webelos & AoL Overnight Camp.
How does payment work?
Each camp has an early-bird and a regular registration period — sign up early to save. Scholarships cover up to a third of the cost for families who qualify.
